The Silence of the Northern Highlands
Beyond the crowded trails lies a Vietnam few ever witness. We curate intimate journeys through the limestone peaks of Ha Giang, where the only sound is the wind through the valley and the steady hum of the road.
Rugged Minimalism — Small Groups Only
THE ROUTE
Four days through the Ha Giang mountains, with more time for local experiences, dramatic landscapes and moments away from the main road.
Learn more about the 4-Day Ha Giang LoopHA GIANG → QUAN BA → YEN MINH
Begin the journey from Ha Giang and enter the mountain roads of the northern frontier. Travel through the beautiful landscapes around Quan Bả, crossing mountain passes and stopping at scenic viewpoints and local villages along the way. Depending on weather, season and local conditions, the day may include a refreshing waterfall experience or a visit to a natural cave. Continue through the changing landscapes towards Yên Minh. Overnight in Yên Minh.
YEN MINH → LUNG CU → DONG VAN
Continue from Yen Minh towards the northern frontier, following one of the most spectacular roads in Ha Giang.
This is the FRONTIER ROUTE — a dramatic mountain road running along the northern border region of Vietnam, close to the Chinese frontier.
The road winds through immense limestone mountains, steep valleys and remote highland villages, with spectacular views across the border landscape.
This is not simply a route to Lung Cu. The road itself is part of the experience — a powerful journey through one of the most remote and dramatic landscapes of Northern Vietnam.
Continue towards Lung Cu and visit the national flag tower at the northernmost point of Vietnam.
Take time to experience the surrounding mountain landscape and local villages before continuing to Dong Van.
Overnight in Dong Van.
Đồng Văn → Mã Pí Lèng → Nho Quế River → Du Già
Leave Đồng Văn and begin one of the most spectacular sections of the Ha Giang Loop. Cross the legendary Mã Pí Lèng Pass and stop to admire the dramatic limestone mountains and deep valleys surrounding the road. Continue towards the Nho Quế River and take a boat along the river, experiencing the towering cliffs and mountain landscape from below. After the boat experience, continue through the mountain roads towards Meo Vac and onward to the peaceful valley of Du Già. Overnight in Du Già.
Du Già → Waterfall → Ha Giang
Enjoy a slower final morning in Du Già. Visit a natural waterfall and, when weather, water conditions and local circumstances are suitable, enjoy a refreshing swim in the mountain water. Continue through rural valleys, local villages and mountain roads on the way back to Ha Giang. Complete the journey in Ha Giang in the afternoon.
The Ha Giang Loop can be travelled in either direction. Depending on weather, road conditions, season and local circumstances, our experienced local guide may operate the journey in the reverse direction. The core experiences remain the same, while the sequence may be adjusted to create the safest and most enjoyable journey.
