Begin from Cao Bang City and travel through Angel Eye Mountain, traditional villages and Ban Gioc Waterfall before continuing to Nguom Ngao Cave, Ngoc Con Valley and Pac Bo.
The final day follows the northern frontier through Lenin Stream and the spectacular Khau Coc Cha Pass before returning to Cao Bang.

The final day leaves the main tourist route and follows mountain roads towards Lenin Stream and the dramatic Khau Coc Cha Pass before returning to Cao Bang.

The Route
Three days through the landscapes, villages and frontier roads of Cao Bang.
Meet your guide at the Frontier North Vietnam office in Cao Bang City and begin the journey into the mountains. Travel towards Angel Eye Mountain and explore the spectacular limestone landscape surrounding the area. Continue through traditional villages and quieter rural roads, where local architecture, agriculture and daily life become part of the journey. Continue towards Ban Gioc Waterfall. Take time to experience the waterfall and its surrounding landscape near the Vietnam–China border. Overnight near Ban Gioc.
Begin the morning with a visit to Nguom Ngao Cave and explore its impressive limestone formations. Continue through the mountain roads towards Ngoc Con Valley. The valley offers a quieter side of Cao Bang, with dramatic karst mountains, green countryside, rivers and traditional villages. When weather, water conditions and local circumstances are suitable, there may be time for a refreshing swim in the natural waters around Ngoc Con Valley. Continue towards Pac Bo and settle into the peaceful mountain landscape surrounding this historic area. Overnight in Pac Bo.
Begin the final day around Pac Bo. Visit Lenin Stream and explore the peaceful landscape of clear water, limestone mountains and forest surrounding the historic area. Continue through the mountain roads towards Khau Coc Cha Pass. The road becomes increasingly dramatic as it winds through steep limestone mountains and deep valleys. Khau Coc Cha is one of the most spectacular sections of this frontier route and offers a very different experience from the more familiar roads around Ban Gioc. Continue towards Cao Bang City. The journey finishes at the Frontier North Vietnam office in Cao Bang.
